Risk Assesment

Since most of our filming will be in exterior locations, there are some elements of risks and possible danger we may have to consider. Our main filming locations are going to be in Columbia Road/Ezra Street, Smithsfields Market and various locations around Brick Lane Road. We know from personal experience that all 3 of these locations are safe places and there is minimal risk of any danger or conflict.Permission to film is not required at these locations as they are public and not places like Buckingham Palace, where filming would be considered suspicious.

All 4 group members have their own mobile phones which will allow us all to be able to communicate with each other and anyone else if we need to.

We will be dealing with very expensive equipment, so we will have to be extra careful while we are in possession of them. This means being very careful while traveling to and from locations and well as during filming. I don't really see this as a threat as we have a group of sensible, responsible people who are always focused.

We were shown how to use the equipment in class by Trevor the technician. We then had to sign an agreement regarding our project which will force us to comply with certain rules and regulations.

We will ensure that the camera batteries are fully charged and that we have spare batteries with us.

Finally, there is the most likely and inconvenient threat- weather! To combat in case of light rain, we will carry carry umbrellas to protect the equipment. We will check the forecast in advance; if we notice a high risk of heavy rain, we will have to reschedule our filming date.
