Audience

After choosing our song and planned parts of the music video as a group, my focus was brought on to who would listen to, buy or watch out artist Marcus Green. More specifically, who the audience are for our artist. 

We decided that our core target audience will be both males and females between the ages of 18-28. The reasons being that we felt this genre of music would mostly appeal to that age range, and because our artist is male- males may listen to him, as well as females because of the soulful lyrics.


HERE IS AN EXAMPLE OF OUR CORE AUDIENCE
Hannah Smith, lives in Kent
Female, British
Part time job as a personal trainer
Shops in Waitrose, M&S and H&M
Spare time - Goes out with friends, goes out to the country bike riding, shopping
Reads Metro and The Evening Standard
Uses the public transport (bus, train and trams)
Owns an iPhone and Netbook
Shoes: Sports trainers or casual flats
Favourite drink: Water, juice
Holidays: camping
Loves the dubstep genre because its upbeat, makes friends through the genre, its really exciting in Concerts and clubs, feels different when he listens to it (can relate)
Music: loves soulful music, rock music and meaningful lyrics. Likes dubstep and artists like Ed Sheeran and other male solo artists.

WIDER AUDIENCE
Ages 22+. We found the dubstep genre can appeal to over 25's because of the smart formal clothing in the videos, also through the intelligent lyrics and many other things.

GENERAL EXAMPLE OF AUDIENCE
Males: outdoorsy, casual clothing. Young aged men studying in Uni up to the age of 30 and working.
FemaleS: outdoorsy, not too image conscious, likes the country. Listens to slow songs or meaningful songs.
