Massive attack- unfinished sympathy

This weekend I have seen a range of music videos from all genres but as the genre group 19 have chosen is rock/soul I had to narrow down my ideas to the ones that are most suitable. Unfinished sympathy a great song from the group “massive attack”, this links to our music video in the sense that both artists( Marcus green and the main artist of massive attack) are walking down the street singing and reflecting on their pasts

Analyse of unfinished sympathy
     1.   Already at the beginning of the music video we have a high angle showing a group of men walking on the street almost looking like they are causing trouble the high angle is very suitable in the sense that the camera is almost looking down on them as if we should feel sorry for them.

     2.    The use of panning and tracks to follow the main artists emphasises her importance as an individual and artist within that society, we should do the same for Marcus green
.
(long shot from the back)
(A medium shot from the front, of the artist singing)
Notice how she walks on the street from the beginning to end of her music video, she puts a bit of life in her walk and body language to grab the audience attention. The camera shots alter their appearance from close- ups, to medium shots, to over the shoulder shots and more.
