Skills audit and reflection on progress

My research for my practical work and the practical work itself has improved tremendously compared to last year (AS), I found last year’s blogging especially more of a back-breaker  it was very difficult not in terms of the research but in terms of the different use of ICT to present it on such as the use of “Prezi” or even “slideshow”. My blog last year was plain and simple causing me to lose quiet allot of marks as I lacked technique. However now that I am in my second year I am more cautious wise with the techniques that I employ to make a great blog. The amount of blogs I deliver onto blogger has increased by twice as much compared last year. Last year I was only able to do up to 3 blogs a weak, maybe because I was not really comfortable with my surroundings (still new to the college system). As of A2 I am able to use final cut pro which was just for an activity not the actual practical coursework and match the markers with an actual song which will be very useful for my group when it comes to the production of our music video. It works by holding the “M” button, once the video is uploaded on the screen then drag down the marker onto the timeline and do this process again but instead of me not putting the markers on the timeline which I found difficult last year I find it much easier. My blogging personally is really coming along, I am much more confident when it comes to researching on the genres of our music video compared to last year. I am more consistent when it comes to blogging entries as I blog daily.

However there is still room for improvement as a result I have created a list of targets that I will achieve by the end of this year.
1. Use a range of techniques such as prezi, photo-bucket, Power Point and minimise the amount of blogs done on a word format.
2. Increases the amounts of blogs that I will deliver, the best blogs have more than 60.
3. Improve vocabulary (try and fit in some media terminology to make blog loo sophisticated).
