QUESTION 4 - EVALUATION

QUESTION 3 - EVALUATION

marzana21's EVALUATION album on Photobucket

Blogger - I have used blogger to talk about my research, planning and evaluation of my A2 work. Blogger allows me to express my ideas and plans in different ways by using different productions. For example, I used the internet for research purposes, like YouTube and Wikipedia.

YouTube - Using YouTube to reach the media is cheap and easy, YouTube has a wide variety of videos, so I can get all my research to help with my own music video and push me to a direction of what genre I want listening to different genre's with the help of YouTube. I used YouTube to listen to different genre's and get ideas from music videos for my one. I used YouTube to do the research for my music video and it helped me get a better understanding of what my final product will be.

Prezi - Prezi helps me to present my ideas and help deliver an engaging presentation rather than something like Power Point. Prezu helps me show my research ideas and show my pitch in the way I want, I used Prezi a number of times, for example with my pitch, where I showed my music video ideas and it helped engage my target audience.

Final Cut Pro - I used Final Cut Pro for editing of my music video, we used this so we can create a flow in the music video and use the different available effects. Some of the effects we used were slow motion, where we slowed down the beginning and ending of our music video, to create more attention on the artist. Moreover we also used colour picker, where we brightened some of our clips because parts of the music video was filmed in the dark. Final Cut Pro was useful in the production stage as it helped me create a better music video where I can jump from one location to another whilst it makes sense and has a flow.

Photoshop - I used Photoshop for my ancillary products, I used Photoshop because I can do different graphic design and place my images, cropped and edited exactly where I want. Moreover it is also easy to use interface to help me perfect my ancillary work. Photoshop was easy to use and understand, therefore it helped my ancillary products come out to the best standards, where I can have the exact layout and structure that I want so it is easier to distribute to the target audience so they can familiarise themselves with it.

Influential ideas for cd covers

Olly Murs's CD influenced my ideas for my own CD cover; the colors, fonts, images and the layout really catches my idea and I wanted to pursue some of these things to my own CD cover. Here are a few images..

Album track list

With the help of a website that we came across online known as “song name generator” we were able to create a range of tracks for our new artist Marcus green. As this album is to do with relationships we have decided to have the name of each track link with the theme that we are going for which is sort of sad (melancholy).
Here below are the tracks that our CD will consist of:

Experiment shots for digipak mockup

planning of our individual mock ups (group discussion)

In today’s lesson we started planning a mock-up for our individual digipaks but before we can actually get started there were a few things that we had to agree on as a group, for example

Color scheme- we wanted the colors of the background to be dark as well as sophisticated, as a result of having a dark background the font color should be sort of grey and silver as this will stand out and grab the audience attention.

In terms of shots for the panels

Front panel- clearly it’s a new artist so we were thinking as a group of a close-up of Marcus green’s face with one side of his face in a brighter contrast, so it looks like someone is shining a light on one side of his face, in a way this can actually emphasis hope.f grey and silver gree on as a gorup

Inside panel-left side should be a long shot of Marcus green probably leaning on a wall or some sort (it’s up to you). The right side of the inside panel should consist of a CD that should be in the same color as background for the whole digipak (which is dark).

Names of the album differs as we all have different tastes of music, we came up with titles like
             1.  Tribulation(which reinforces unhappiness an sadness)
             2.  Man at arms(sort of a more war theme)
             3. Warrior(which reinforces all the pain and suffering that Marcus green has gone through an taken)

Filming.

marzana21's Filming album on Photobucket

Filming

We have finally finished our filming!

Today was our last day of filming, were we had to do a few shots in Fahmida's house. We filmed within our time limit that we had, 2 hours and got everything we needed done. We filmed the scene where our performer, Mark is walking away from his girlfriend, we thought this would be interesting in our music video to give it more illustration than just performance. Now that we have done our filming, all we have to do is concentrate on our editing, so our music video as a whole tells a story, makes sense and is interesting enough to give us the highest possible grade we can achieve.

Production

Go animate does not let me make the video, so I print screened my dialogue.

Editing - placing the markers

Here we were using the marking tool to mark the soundtrack on each beat. As you can see, there are several red markers at regular intervals very close to each other showing that the beat is fast and continuous.

This is a screengrab of our Final Cut timeline, as you can see, I (Fahmida) have already laid down the basetracks (apart from the footage from Columbia Road which we will film on Saturday) and they have been cut so that I can begin to lip sync the footage to the audio.

This is just a close up screen grab of the markers on the audio clip.
