genres

Most rock songs compose of something interesting, something that grabs the audience attention. Paramore songs mostly composed a hybrid of thriller and action such as “decode” which would be very useful in our media studies music video as it is not expensive and we could add our little twist and ideas during the base tracks of the song.

Notice the use of colour the green and blue to accentuate the fact that they are in some sort of forest the song is about the building tension, awkwardness, anger and confusion. There is allot of emotions within these music videos just by looking at the facial expressions.
Linkin park is also widely used in action films and music videos; it’s very useful when it comes to building suspense and again easy to get ideas from.
Suspenfull songs such as

linkin park catalyst employ a range of scenes of conflict during the music video to create tension and even more anger.

All though rap songs are very cool and exclusive, rap songs would be inappropriate for this piece of A2 work due to the fact that we do not have a budget we have to buy props, so we cannot use 50 cent or drake because it will be very hard to do due to the fact that these songs use allot of hot adult girls and expensive cars and houses, which we do not have. alternative Rock songs such as linkin park and Paramore or even Alex Clare are very useful in terms of expressing meanings towards its audience and being very interesting in music videos such as transformers or even twilight. However we should go with Alex Clare as we have to choose a British artist

Genre is any category of literature; music videos can be categorized in terms of their style. These styles could either be a performance such as a band/artist playing or it could be a mixture (hybrid) both performance and narrative based. A cameo is another very unique style that most rock bands use more than the common rappers such as lil Wayne, 50 cent, the cameo style consists of a band/artist features in the narrative but doesn’t perform (foo fighters).

We tend to find allot of rap music videos using allot of editing such as jump cuts to take the audience by surprise during the music video itself especially when the music video is telling the viewer a story and also the use of split screening (CGI) is very useful as well in terms of building suspense.

The props that we will employ in our music video to some extent will be very crucial as we are not getting a budget for this piece of coursework; the college is not providing us with expensive cars, houses and what not. So it makes sense to choose a music video that does not use a range of these luxury goods as a result cheaper and easier to create meaning

Codes and convection of music videos differ from each other, however they can be slowly adapt to fit into any purposes, the reasons for them is that it allows the audience to become with a certain genre as they will become accustomed to seeing certain things, it also helps by stirring the emotions of the audience itself, the second reason for code and convections is that it ensures that a certain text works well and fits into a genre but this is for movies which we did in AS. Elements such as sound, editing, mise en scene as well as camera work as a vital process during the course of the codes and convections of music videos.
