Once finished editing our music video on
final cut pro, our teacher came to view what I thought was a really good video,
but it turns out that we still had allot to do in terms of editing, one of the
comments that our teacher made was “good use of locations” we used a range of
locations because it’s a music video, music videos often tell a story towards
its target audience so by having one location throughout the whole song will
create a boring story and that’s not what we want as a result we came up with a
range of locations to film in, locations like
smithfeilds market (for chorus) |
Columbia road (for main base track) |
However as there is a positive a negative
follows, one of the comments that our teacher made was “to much cuts, some don't match the actual beat of the song” I have to agree with this comment
because when we were editing it didn't occur to us that we have to edit each
shot to match each strong beat instead of having the music video cut (cross
cut) to other scene without even matching the beat.
